Priti Nathani, PT, is a Senior Physical Therapist at Restore Rehab Services LLC, where she specializes in delivering high-quality home health rehabilitation services. With over a decade of clinical experience, she began her career in 2012 after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in India. Her journey into the profession was deeply personal, inspired by witnessing the transformative impact of physical therapy during her father’s recovery from a stroke—an experience that continues to shape her patient-centered approach to care.

For the past 14 years, Priti has worked extensively in home health settings, serving geriatric and medically complex populations across the Austin area. She chose home-based care to provide more individualized, one-on-one treatment in real-world environments where functional recovery directly translates into daily independence. In her role as a supervising physical therapist, she evaluates patients in their homes, develops tailored plans of care, and oversees physical therapy assistants. Her approach extends beyond physical rehabilitation to include environmental assessments and coordination with interdisciplinary teams, including medical social workers, to address the broader factors influencing recovery.

Her clinical expertise includes stroke rehabilitation, osteoarthritis management, post-operative recovery, and fall prevention. She is particularly focused on improving mobility, safety, and quality of life while enabling patients to age in place with confidence and independence.

Priti is currently pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Montana and is expected to graduate in December 2026. She is also expanding her expertise in rehabilitation administration, with long-term goals of transitioning into healthcare leadership and contributing to innovative, technology-driven models that enhance coordination, accessibility, and patient outcomes in home-based care.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the ability to build meaningful, one-on-one relationships with my patients. Early in my exposure to outpatient settings during my training, I observed that care could often feel volume-driven, which limited the depth of patient interaction. That experience shaped my preference for home health, where I can dedicate focused time to each patient and provide truly individualized care.

Working in the home environment allows me to see beyond the diagnosis. I can assess not only physical limitations but also the living conditions, support systems, and social factors that directly impact recovery. This enables me to deliver more holistic care and connect patients with the resources they need.

For me, it is not just about treating a condition—it is about helping individuals regain independence, improve quality of life, and feel supported in their own environment. That level of connection and impact is what makes this work deeply fulfilling.
