Peter J. Gadze, PA-C
I’m Peter Gadze, a Physician Assistant with Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group, affiliated with Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, New York. I recently began my practice after earning my Master’s degree from NYIT in 2025. Currently, I focus on outpatient orthopedic care, providing one-on-one attention to patients and helping them navigate their treatment plans. My expertise includes administering cortisone and gel injections in the shoulders and knees, aspirating fluid, and educating patients about their diagnoses and treatment options. I am committed to guiding patients through conservative approaches—such as lifestyle modifications, physical therapy, and medication management—before considering surgical interventions.
My path to medicine was unconventional. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Siena University in 2017 and pursued a career as a professional soccer player overseas in Croatia. Unfortunately, injuries requiring ACL surgeries ended my professional soccer career. During my recovery in physical therapy, I developed a fascination with musculoskeletal care, which inspired me to explore a career in medicine. While I initially considered becoming a physical therapist, learning about the Physician Assistant role solidified my decision, offering the perfect balance of hands-on care, patient education, and collaborative practice.
As a Physician Assistant, I am dedicated to delivering high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care. I enjoy working as part of a collaborative orthopedic team, helping patients achieve their functional goals while maintaining a focus on long-term outcomes. Though my professional soccer career ended, I remain a player at heart and continue to enjoy the sport both on and off the field. My personal experience with injury and recovery fuels my empathy, allowing me to connect with patients and support them through every stage of their care.
