Payton Fell, RN, LPN

Payton Fell is a registered nurse with four years of cumulative nursing experience, currently working in the Emergency Room at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, a Level II trauma center. Her nursing career began at Ivy Tech, where she first earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in 2022 before returning to complete her Registered Nurse (RN) degree, graduating in 2024. Prior to becoming an RN, she gained valuable experience in a small hospital setting, where she worked in both emergency and inpatient care, building a strong foundation in diverse clinical environments.

Since transitioning into her RN role, Payton has focused exclusively on emergency medicine, where she continues to develop her clinical skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. Recently, she became SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) trained, an experience that has expanded her perspective and deepened her understanding of specialized patient care. Her work in the emergency department has been recognized for her dedication, including a nomination for “Spotlight of the Month” by physicians, reflecting her professionalism and commitment to patient care.

Payton is a strong advocate for patient-centered care and believes in treating the whole person rather than just the presenting illness. She prioritizes building meaningful connections with her patients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and empowered to advocate for themselves during some of their most vulnerable moments. Although she may not rush through care, she is intentional about taking the time to listen and understand each patient’s needs, striving to improve both their experience and outcomes in the emergency setting.
