Petrossian Pharmacy
Burbank, CA 91505

Narbeh Petrossian is a pharmacist, entrepreneur, and mental health advocate whose career bridges hospital pharmacy, community care, and emerging pharmaceutical innovation. As CEO of PETROSSIAN PHARMACY, he is dedicated to expanding access to compassionate, patient-centered healthcare while educating communities on medication safety, chronic disease management, and mental health awareness.

Born and raised in the university city of Uppsala, Sweden, Dr. Petrossian developed an early fascination with science, chemistry, and medicine. Growing up in a Swedish-Armenian household, he balanced academics with helping his family operate a pizzeria and grocery business, experiences that instilled both discipline and a deep appreciation for community service. Before becoming a pharmacist, he spent seven to eight years working as a pharmacy technician and clerk, gaining firsthand experience in patient care and pharmacy operations.

After moving to the United States at age 18, Dr. Petrossian pursued pre-medical studies and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from California State University, Northridge before completing his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Western University of Health Sciences. During graduate school, he also taught upper-division anatomy courses, further strengthening his passion for healthcare education.

Throughout his career, Dr. Petrossian has worked across multiple sectors of pharmacy, including hospital, retail, long-term care, and community practice. He served as an emergency room pharmacist with Adventist Health and helped establish an outpatient pharmacy program designed to ensure discharged patients received medications before leaving the hospital, helping reduce readmissions and improve continuity of care. His professional experience also includes roles with Rite Aid, Ralphs Pharmacy, and independent pharmacy leadership positions throughout California.

Mental health advocacy remains one of Dr. Petrossian’s greatest passions. Having personally experienced the impact of treatment-resistant depression, he openly shares his journey to encourage others to seek help and never give up hope. He has used his platform to raise awareness about innovative treatment options and the importance of compassionate, human-centered healthcare. His work as a pharmacist and community educator reflects his belief that healthcare professionals must care not only for physical health, but also for emotional and psychological well-being.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Petrossian has been approached by pharmaceutical companies to serve in Medical Science Liaison capacities, supporting education and clinical communication around emerging therapies. Inspired by influential mentors, including Armenian-American businessman Kirk Kerkorian, he continues to pursue opportunities that combine science, business leadership, and service to the community.

Driven by curiosity, resilience, and compassion, Dr. Petrossian remains committed to advancing pharmacy practice, improving healthcare access, and supporting patients through every stage of their wellness journey.
