Molly R. Machemehl, MA, LSP
Molly R. Machemehl is a dedicated School Psychologist who brings a unique combination of business compliance experience and educational expertise to her professional practice. Her early career focused on identifying barriers to student access and health hazards in communities where schools were being developed, work that strengthened her commitment to safe, supportive learning environments. This foundation ultimately guided her transition into education, where she began working as a substitute teacher while also running a tutoring business that later evolved into a school health and safety charity.
Her interest in school psychology developed through firsthand experience in education systems and encouragement from teachers during ARD meetings, who recognized her natural alignment with student support and intervention services. Although she had long been interested in the field, she was further motivated by her preference for wellness-based and intervention-focused approaches rather than purely pharmaceutical models. As she observed increasing collaboration between educational and medical professionals, including Doctors of Osteopathy (DOs) and Medical Doctors (MDs), she felt confident pursuing school psychology as her long-term career path.
Ms. Machemehl is licensed as a School Psychologist (LSP) in both Texas and Vermont. She earned her Master of Arts from Houston Christian University (formerly Houston Baptist University) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University. In addition to her clinical and school-based work, she also serves as an adjunct professor within a community college district in the Dallas area, where she contributes to the training and development of future education and psychology professionals.
In her current practice, Ms. Machemehl provides school psychology services including play-based evaluations, secondary assessments, and expert witnessing. Her approach is prevention-based and wellness-driven, emphasizing research-supported interventions that address students’ academic, social, and behavioral needs while preserving schools as educational environments rather than clinical settings. She works collaboratively as a liaison between families, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and effective home-to-school and school-to-clinic interventions that support student success.
