Michelle Martina Maxcy, RN
Michelle Maxcy, RN, is a dedicated registered nurse with a strong background in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic nursing. She began her healthcare career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2017 after completing her training at Northeast Mississippi Community College and advanced to Registered Nurse in 2019. Her early clinical foundation and continued professional development have shaped a career centered on high-acuity cardiovascular patient care.
For approximately four and a half years, Michelle worked at North Mississippi Health Services in Tupelo, where she specialized in cardiovascular nursing and collaborated closely with cardiovascular surgeons on the CV surgery team. During her hospital tenure, she frequently served in charge nurse roles on night shifts, demonstrating leadership, clinical judgment, and the ability to manage complex patient care situations. Her excellence in nursing was recognized with a Daisy Award, highlighting her commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care.
Michelle holds certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and EKG interpretation, reflecting her commitment to maintaining advanced clinical competency. She has recently transitioned into local travel nursing, where she continues to expand her experience while maintaining her focus on cardiovascular care.
