Megan Little, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC (Nephrology Nurse Practitioner)
Megan Little is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with 16 years of total nursing experience, including 6 years in advanced practice specializing in nephrology. She currently practices at Kidney Care Associates in Denison, Texas, where she has spent her entire advanced practice career providing comprehensive care to patients with kidney disease. Her clinical background spans a wide range of specialties, including intensive care, hospice, oncology, and palliative care. This diverse experience has shaped her holistic and patient-centered approach to nephrology, allowing her to support patients through complex and chronic health conditions with both clinical expertise and compassion. Megan earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in May 2020. She previously obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2012 and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Grayson County College in 2010. Her educational path reflects a steady progression through nursing, beginning with her roots in a small Texas community. Originally beginning her academic journey in agriculture, Megan ultimately discovered her calling in healthcare. She credits her career path to a sense of purpose and faith, viewing nursing as a vocation guided by a deeper sense of calling. Her transition into nursing began at Grayson County College, where she built the foundation for her lifelong commitment to patient care. Megan is an active member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association and Texas Nurse Practitioners. She also serves as a preceptor for nursing students and nurse practitioners, mentoring the next generation of clinicians. Looking ahead, she plans to pursue certification as a Certified Nephrology Nurse Practitioner (CNN-NP) and continue advancing her expertise in nephrology while remaining dedicated to long-term patient care.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I love working in nephrology and feel deeply fulfilled in this specialty. I plan to continue practicing in nephrology over the next five years and beyond, as it is a field I am truly passionate about. I am also working toward obtaining my Certified Nephrology Nurse Practitioner (CNN-NP) certification to further strengthen and validate my expertise in this area. While the preparation is challenging, it is very important to me as it represents a higher level of competency and commitment to nephrology care. I have been with Kidney Care Associates throughout my entire advanced practice career, and I genuinely cannot imagine working in any other field.
