Marsha Reda, Director of Patient Services at Aurora Home Care, Inc., brings over 30 years of nursing experience dedicated to advancing high-quality, patient-centered care. Driven by a calling she recognized at just five years old, Marsha began her healthcare journey at age 14 as a nursing assistant. She went on to earn her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Erie Community College, launching her career as a Registered Nurse in 1996.

In 1997, Marsha discovered her true passion within licensed home care. Over the decades, she developed advanced expertise in complex, community-based patient care, working extensively with ventilator-dependent individuals and gaining vital pediatric experience through the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. Her lifelong dedication is reflected in her career path at Aurora Home Care, where she seamlessly progressed from a field caregiver to a nursing supervisor, and ultimately to Director of Patient Services.

Today, Marsha is a ventilator-certified NYS Registered Nurse, a Medicaid provider, and an independent contractor whose expertise spans direct clinical practice, policy development, and field leadership. Known for her creative, independent "MacGyver" approach to nursing, she brings critical thinking to complex care situations. Beyond clinical leadership, Marsha is a passionate advocate and educator. In partnership with Aurora Home Care and Hello Nation, she creates quarterly multimedia content to educate the public on home care options.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most is the profound patient satisfaction and the incredible longevity of the relationships we build. True success comes from creating positive changes that keep everyone happy—both our patients and the dedicated nurses who choose to stay with us. We have had the privilege of caring for some patients for over 30 years, welcoming them as children who are now grown adults.
Locally, we have set a very high standard of excellence that others in our industry strive to achieve. Our core mission is simple: our nurses and our patients are family, and I would be heartbroken to see any one of them leave. If it were my own loved one requiring care, I would want to know they aren't just getting their basic needs met, but are being treated with the exact same love, respect, and dignity that I would give my own family.
