Beyond her academic and clinical work, Leah is actively involved in professional and community organizations, including serving as a class representative in the Student Government Association and as a member of the American Optometric Association. During her undergraduate studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, she was engaged in leadership roles with the Pre-Professional Society, Phi Mu, and Students for the Autism Society, where she served as Public Relations and Treasurer.
