Laquisha Douglas, NP

LaQuisha R. Douglas, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with more than 14 years of experience in nursing. She began her career in women’s and children’s health, providing care across labor and delivery, postpartum, perinatal, and high-risk settings. In April 2025, she officially transitioned into advanced practice after earning her nurse practitioner license, bringing a strong clinical foundation and patient-centered approach to her work in mental health care.

LaQuisha currently practices at Pathways EAP and Recovery Plus, where she specializes in psychiatric mental health services. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Spring Harbor University in Michigan and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her professional credentials include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), and she is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Her diverse background allows her to care for patients with both clinical expertise and deep compassion.

A first-generation college graduate, LaQuisha views nursing as both a calling and a ministry. She attributes her success to her faith, her family, and her children, who continue to inspire her personal and professional growth. Looking ahead, she aspires to open her own practice, mentor aspiring healthcare professionals, travel to speak and encourage others, and one day write a book. Above all, she is committed to making a meaningful difference by helping patients and communities believe in themselves and move toward lasting wellness.
