Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most is the joy I see on my patients’ faces when I walk into their rooms. Caring for the elderly has always been deeply meaningful to me—it brings me genuine happiness and fulfillment. My patients often recognize me with warmth and affection; one resident regularly says, “there goes my angel,” which always touches my heart. I love those moments when they smile, greet me with excitement, and tell me they’ve missed me.

I also appreciate the relationships I build with my residents over time. I work across all areas of the nursing home because I am always willing to go wherever I am needed. For me, every resident deserves consistent, compassionate care regardless of the unit they are in. I believe it is their home, and someone must be there to care for them. I do not mind taking on that responsibility because this work is my passion, and I have been dedicated to it since I was 17 years old.
