Julianne Alonso, MSN, FNP-C, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of nursing experience and a deep commitment to serving both military veterans and families in her community. Drawing on a diverse clinical background that spans emergency medicine, intensive care, labor and delivery, orthopedics, pediatrics, and neonatal intensive care, she has built a reputation for delivering compassionate, evidence-based care across the lifespan. Her patient-centered approach emphasizes prevention, education, and collaboration, empowering individuals to take an active role in their health and well-being.

Julianne’s healthcare journey began with 6.5 years of service in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, where she gained invaluable experience in acute care, women’s health, and military medicine. Inspired by the nurses and practitioners who mentored her during her military career, she pursued nursing and became a registered nurse in 2015. Throughout her career, she has held critical care and leadership positions, including serving as Assistant Nurse Manager for the ICU and Cardiac Step-Down Units at Mary Washington Healthcare. In that role, she led teams through complex patient care situations, supported staff development, and helped ensure the highest standards of safety and quality for critically ill patients.

Now practicing in primary care and urgent care settings, Julianne focuses much of her work on women’s health, including perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopausal symptom management, while also advocating for veterans through Veterans Affairs disability evaluations, nexus letters, and disability benefits questionnaires. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she is passionate about improving access to healthcare in military and veteran communities, helping patients receive timely, comprehensive care before conditions escalate into medical emergencies. Recognized for her leadership and dedication, she is the recipient of both the Daisy Nurse Leader Award and the Nursing Excellence Award, honors that reflect her unwavering commitment to excellence, service, and patient advocacy.
