Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most is being actively involved in my patients’ care and supporting them through challenging transitions. Working as an RN at the bedside allowed me to provide hands-on care and spend meaningful time with patients and their families during critical moments, especially when they were facing serious illness or grief. I wanted to ensure that no one had to navigate these transitions alone. After several years at the bedside, I sought to expand my impact by practicing at the provider level, where I could play a greater role in care planning and treatment decisions. Becoming a nurse practitioner has allowed me to continue delivering hands-on care while also contributing to medical decision-making, ensuring that my patients receive comprehensive, compassionate, and thoughtful care.
