Helen Hsu, MD, MS
Dr. Helen Hsu, MD, MS, is a Consultant Chief Medical Officer based in the New York City metropolitan area and a seasoned executive physician with more than 30 years of experience across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, and clinical practice settings. Through her consultancy at NEE Consulting, LLC, she provides strategic medical and scientific leadership across a broad range of therapeutic areas, including oncology, hematology, neurology, cardiology, women’s health, pediatrics, translational research, and biobanking. She is recognized for her ability to guide organizations through complex development landscapes while aligning clinical innovation with regulatory and market needs.
Throughout her career, Dr. Hsu has held senior leadership roles in global medical and clinical research organizations. Her experience includes executive and directorial positions at Pharmaron and Ipsen, as well as senior academic and research leadership roles at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Northern Light Health. She has also contributed to clinical research and academic medicine through work at North Shore University Hospital and research initiatives at institutions such as Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her expertise spans global clinical trial oversight across more than 10 countries and over 100 multicenter Phase I–IV studies, as well as IND/NDA submissions, regulatory strategy, IRB processes, and medical affairs leadership.
Dr. Hsu earned her MD from Southeast University and completed advanced graduate training in molecular biology and clinical laboratory management at Michigan State University. In addition to her scientific and executive leadership, she is active in nonprofit and cultural initiatives, including the Global Health Education Foundation and Jasmine Performing Arts. A published researcher and strategic advisor to KOLs and healthcare stakeholders, she is known for her contributions to translational medicine, lifecycle management, and cross-sector healthcare innovation, as well as her commitment to mentorship, community engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Dr. Hsu has published research in molecular medicine as first author. Her publication focused on genetic factors related to protein degradation in pediatric muscular dystrophy, specifically examining how genetic disease causes an imbalance between protein synthesis and degradation, leading to accelerated degradation that results in progressive muscle weakness in children.
