Ericka Collins is a dedicated registered nurse with extensive experience in dialysis care, utilization management, and patient safety. She currently works as a Registered Nurse at Fresenius Medical Care, where she provides specialized dialysis nursing care to patients, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate treatment in a high-acuity clinical environment.
Previously, Ericka served as a Registered Nurse in Utilization Management at Highmark Wholecare from 2018 to 2024. In this role, she worked remotely to support care coordination, patient safety initiatives, and team management, helping ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources while advocating for quality patient outcomes. Her work required strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Ericka earned her Associate’s degree in Registered Nursing from Delaware Technical Community College, Georgetown, which provided the foundation for her nursing career. She has since built a strong clinical background spanning both direct patient care and healthcare management, allowing her to contribute effectively across multiple areas of the nursing profession.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about nursing is making a positive difference in my patients’ lives in any capacity, whether that means improving their health outcomes or simply helping to reduce their stress and anxiety. Being able to bring comfort and reassurance during vulnerable moments is very meaningful to me.
