What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about nursing is having the time to truly connect with my patients, whether that’s providing thorough discharge education or simply being there to listen when they need someone. My experience as a virtual nurse really allowed me to do that in a meaningful way. While bedside nurses are often balancing multiple patients and a heavy workload, I was able to focus on patient education and create genuine interactions that might otherwise be rushed. I received a lot of positive feedback from both patients and nurses who were grateful for the extra time and attention I could provide. For me, nursing is about more than completing tasks, it’s about building trust, offering support, and making sure every patient feels heard, informed, and cared for. That human connection is what truly drives my passion for nursing.
