Denaye Beckler, APRN, MSN, CPNP-AC, CEN, VA-BC, is a highly skilled Pediatric Vascular Access Nurse at Akron Children’s Hospital, specializing in the insertion and management of vascular access devices for children, including peripheral IVs, midlines, and PICCs. With over eight years of dedicated experience in pediatric nursing, Denaye leverages ultrasound-guided techniques and close collaboration with sedation and interventional radiology teams to ensure safe, precise, and comfortable procedures for young patients. Her clinical expertise extends to patient safety, education, and mentoring, making her an invaluable resource for nurses, residents, and new vascular access team members.

Throughout her career, Denaye has demonstrated strong leadership and commitment to advancing vascular access practice. She serves as chair of Akron Children’s PIVIE (Peripheral IV Infiltration and Extravasation) committee, has led successful multi-phase product trials, and actively contributes to improving patient care through protocol development and research initiatives. Her professional excellence has been recognized internationally, including the 2025 Impact Award from the Association for Vascular Access (AVA), highlighting her significant contributions to pediatric vascular access at the local and organizational levels.

Denaye’s passion for nursing is matched by her dedication to meaningful patient interactions. She holds a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Health from The University of Akron and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Cedarville University. Board-certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care, a Certified Emergency Nurse, and Vascular Access – Board Certified, Denaye continues to serve as a leader, educator, and advocate for excellence in pediatric vascular access nursing.
