Christopher Thompson, DDS profile on Americas Best In Medicine

Dr. Christopher Thompson is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and co-owner of Spring Cypress Oral Surgery and Implant Center in Tomball, Texas. A native of the Tomball community, Dr. Thompson is passionate about providing advanced surgical care to the area where he grew up and now raises his family. With more than six years of experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, he specializes in dentoalveolar surgery, facial trauma, extraction of impacted teeth, dental implants, hard and soft tissue grafting, and the diagnosis and treatment of orofacial pathology. Together with his partner, he recently helped lead the transition of the practice into a newly built, state-of-the-art facility designed to better serve patients throughout the region.

Dr. Thompson earned his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 2016. He went on to complete his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he received comprehensive training in complex oral surgery procedures, facial trauma management, microneural repair, grafting techniques, and corrective jaw surgery. A pivotal moment in his career came during a mission trip to Peru with Chasquis Craniofacial, where he helped treat patients with complex craniofacial conditions who had limited access to specialized care. That experience strengthened his commitment to oral surgery and the profound impact it can have on patients’ lives.

Dedicated to both clinical excellence and compassionate care, Dr. Thompson is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball and remains actively involved in professional organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons and embraces the outdoors through hunting, fishing, sports, and family activities. Above all, Dr. Thompson finds fulfillment in helping members of his community overcome pain, restore function, and improve their quality of life through specialized surgical care.
