Christine Kayga, LPC
Christine Kayga is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with extensive experience supporting individuals, families, and school communities through mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support services. Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she is committed to helping clients build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and navigate life’s challenges through evidence-based therapeutic approaches and personalized care.
Currently, Christine serves as a Mental Health Counselor at Wildflower Reflection Counseling and Hope Mountain Behavioral Health, where she provides individual counseling, develops treatment plans, writes clinical documentation, and collaborates with clients to connect them with valuable community resources. She is experienced in responding to requests for emotional support documentation, coordinating care, and fostering strong therapeutic relationships through compassionate communication and client-centered support.
Prior to her work in clinical counseling, Christine spent several years as a school counselor within Colorado school systems, including Oak Creek Elementary School, Falcon Elementary School of Technology, and Lewis-Palmer Elementary School. In these roles, she provided crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, conflict resolution support, and classroom guidance programs focused on social-emotional learning, empathy, and self-regulation. She also played an active role in advocating for student mental health needs, implementing behavior intervention strategies, coordinating community resources, and developing 504 accommodations to support student success.
Christine earned her Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bemidji State University in Minnesota. Her professional expertise includes crisis intervention, conflict management, meeting facilitation, and both individual and group counseling. She is passionate about creating safe, supportive environments where individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow.
In addition to her professional experience, Christine maintains active involvement in the counseling profession through her affiliation with the National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC) organization. She has completed specialized certifications and training programs including Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (CSSRS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and Safe Zone Training. Through every aspect of her work, Christine remains dedicated to advocating for mental health awareness, strengthening communities, and helping individuals achieve emotional wellness and personal growth.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most is helping individuals create meaningful change in their lives and supporting them in achieving their best mental health. Being able to guide clients through challenges, witness their growth, and see them gain resilience and confidence is incredibly rewarding. My work allows me to combine clinical knowledge with creativity to provide personalized care that truly meets each person’s needs.
