Christi Walsh, DDS
Dr. Christi Walsh is a board-certified pediatric dentist with over 12 years of clinical experience in dentistry, dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate oral healthcare for children. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Her clinical approach is centered on building trust, fostering open communication, and delivering individualized care in a positive and supportive environment for both children and their caregivers.
A native of Ohio, Dr. Walsh earned her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery at The Ohio State University in 2014. She then completed a General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital, where she further strengthened her clinical foundation. Early in her career, she worked as a general dentist in a federally qualified health center, where she provided care to children in school-based and mobile dental programs—an experience that deeply influenced her decision to pursue pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Walsh completed her pediatric dental residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York, where she served as Chief Resident. During this training, she refined her expertise in infant oral health, preventive dentistry, airway evaluations, feeding concerns, and oral restrictions including frenectomies. Her passion for pediatric care was shaped by early volunteer experiences abroad in oral health education programs, which later came full circle when she returned as a practicing dentist to serve in the same community.
Currently, Dr. Walsh practices in Cleveland, Ohio, and is preparing to open her own pediatric dental practice, Little Roots Pediatric Dentistry, in Berea, Ohio, anticipated to launch in 2026. She remains actively involved in professional leadership as a board member of the Cleveland Dental Society and serves as an ambassador for The Breathe Institute, where she advocates for airway-focused pediatric care. She also contributes to dental education through lectures in local residency programs.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Walsh enjoys an active and balanced lifestyle. She values time with her husband, child, and their two dogs, and finds joy in outdoor activities, reading, running, and traveling. Her personal and professional life are both guided by her commitment to creating calm, confident, and positive experiences for children and families, ensuring that every patient visit supports long-term oral health and trust in dental care.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I love seeing the positive transformation in my patients, especially those who come in feeling very anxious or apprehensive. For me, the most meaningful part of my work is building strong, trusting relationships that help patients feel safe and understood. When a nervous patient is able to trust us, relax, and ultimately leave feeling calm and confident, it is incredibly rewarding. Those moments of transformation not only improve their experience in the dental chair but also help them carry greater confidence and resilience into their everyday lives.
