Dr. Chelsea Hope, DDS
Dr. Chelsea Hope is a pediatric dentist practicing in North County, San Diego, where she serves as an associate at Warner Pediatric Dental. Since completing her specialty training in 2021, she has focused on delivering comprehensive, prevention-centered pediatric dental care, including fillings, crowns, frenectomy releases, and in-office sedation supported by an anesthesiologist. Her approach emphasizes early childhood oral health, positive patient experiences, and a whole-body perspective on dentistry, helping children build lifelong confidence and healthy habits in a supportive clinical environment.
Dr. Hope’s educational background reflects a strong foundation in science and advanced clinical training. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Texas A&M University, followed by a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She went on to earn her DDS from UT Health San Antonio before completing a pediatric dentistry residency at NYU Langone Health, where she served as chief resident and refined her expertise in treating children with diverse dental needs.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Hope maintains active involvement in professional organizations including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Society, as well as pediatric dentistry groups such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Her global perspective has been shaped by extensive mission work across the Texas border and international service in places such as the Dominican Republic and Ghana. What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I have always loved working with children, which was a major reason I chose this field, along with my desire to help people through dentistry, where I can often provide immediate relief from pain and improve a patient’s comfort right away. I value the long-term relationships that develop through regular dental visits, and I especially enjoy working with pediatric patients, who bring a unique sense of joy and energy to my practice. I relate well to children and approach their care with the same attentiveness and compassion I would want for my own, which makes my work especially fulfilling. It is incredibly rewarding to now be living out a career I have long aspired to pursue.
