Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about nursing is seeing the impact on patient care and knowing I am contributing to meaningful outcomes. In quality assurance, my focus is on bridging the gap between the care that is intended and the care that patients actually receive. I am committed to ensuring patients consistently receive the quality of care we strive to deliver, and when gaps are identified, my role is to help address them—supporting providers in maintaining appropriate standards of care and helping ensure patients have access to medically necessary services.

A significant part of my work involves patient advocacy at a systems level, helping to remove barriers that may prevent patients from receiving timely and appropriate care. The most rewarding aspect is seeing the results—patients improving, achieving their health goals, and experiencing better outcomes. That connection between quality improvement and real patient impact is what continues to drive my work.
