He also holds the CCRN certification, which reflects his dedication to advancing his expertise in critical care.
Before entering nursing, Austin spent several years working in blue-collar roles, which shaped his work ethic, resilience, and perspective on healthcare. Initially aspiring to attend medical school, he ultimately chose nursing as a more accessible pathway into medicine that would still allow him to grow within various areas of healthcare. This decision marked a turning point in his career, leading him toward a focused and purpose-driven professional journey.
Austin attributes his success to perseverance through hardship, continuous learning through experience, and the support of those around him. He believes that trial and error has played a significant role in his development both personally and professionally. Looking ahead, he is pursuing a future in nurse anesthesia as his next career step, building on his strong foundation in critical care and his commitment to advancing within the nursing profession.

Working in the intensive care setting challenges me every day, and I value the responsibility of providing high-level, compassionate care when it matters most.
