Ashlee L. Howard, BSN, RN

Ashlee Howard, BSN, RN, is a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu, Hawaii. With extensive experience in acute care settings for neonates and pediatrics, she excels in fast-paced, high-stress environments, providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Ashlee is also an instructor at the AED Institute of America, where she teaches first aid, CPR, AED use, BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses to the community, demonstrating her commitment to health education and public safety.

Throughout her nursing career, Ashlee has gained broad experience in neonatal and pediatric intensive care, working at institutions including Providence Health & Services and Methodist Healthcare System. She is skilled in managing complex patient needs such as congenital anomalies, cardiopulmonary issues, and electrolyte imbalances, always considering cultural and spiritual factors in patient care. Her prior experience also includes correctional healthcare, where she provided assessment, emergency response, and nursing interventions in challenging environments.

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Forensic Nursing at Oakland University (expected 2026), Ashlee is preparing to transition into forensic nursing while maintaining her expertise in pediatric care. She will be relocating to North Dakota in August 2026 and looks forward to representing both Hawaii and North Dakota in her professional work. Adept in linguistics and certified in multiple advanced nursing programs, Ashlee combines clinical expertise with a passion for teaching, advocacy, and holistic patient care.
