Anna Kometer, LPC

Anna Kometer is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with four years of experience in mental health counseling. She earned her degree in clinical mental health from Liberty University and has since dedicated her career to supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. Anna works both independently in private practice and with Lantana Recovery, where she provides care through an intensive outpatient program focused on addiction recovery. Across both settings, she is committed to delivering compassionate, client-centered care that promotes long-term healing and resilience.

In her private practice, Anna offers both telehealth and in-person individual counseling sessions, primarily working with adults while remaining open to clients of all ages. She specializes in treating anxiety, trauma, and depression, using a combination of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual’s needs. Her clinical work incorporates psychodynamic therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, particularly in trauma-focused care. Through these modalities, Anna helps clients gain insight, develop coping strategies, and process past experiences in a meaningful and transformative way.

Anna’s path into counseling is deeply personal, shaped by her own experiences growing up in a family impacted by mental illness. Drawn to helping others from an early age, she discovered during college that people naturally gravitated toward her for support and felt safe sharing their struggles with her. This realization led her to pursue counseling as a profession, building on her innate ability to create a warm, accepting environment. Today, Anna continues to foster that same sense of safety in her work, empowering clients to explore their challenges openly and move toward healing with confidence and support.
