What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I really enjoy working at the residency clinic because it's a busy and fun place where I learn a lot. What makes it especially meaningful is that we work with underserved populations, including people experiencing homelessness. This gives me the opportunity to provide care to people who may not otherwise receive adequate healthcare. Working with the residents and precepting nurse practitioners is also rewarding because it allows me to share my knowledge and help train the next generation of healthcare providers. The exposure to such a wide variety of medical situations keeps the work interesting and allows me to continue learning new things.
