Saul Betesh, MD represents a new generation of ophthalmologists who combine rigorous surgical training with a deeply patient-focused philosophy of care. With six years of clinical experience, Dr. Betesh has developed a comprehensive ophthalmic practice grounded in precision, accessibility, and continuous professional growth. He is currently practicing at NJ Eye Consultants in Lakewood, New Jersey, and is affiliated with Eye and Face, LLC, where he provides high-quality, individualized eye care. Dr. Betesh is a board-eligible ophthalmologist with a clinical focus on cataract, corneal, and refractive surgery. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, where he established a strong foundation in clinical medicine, and completed his ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center. Training at a high-volume institution serving diverse and underserved populations allowed him to gain extensive experience managing complex ocular disease while refining advanced diagnostic and surgical skills. To further enhance his operative expertise, Dr. Betesh completed additional surgical exposure through an externship at the Columbia Harkness Eye Institute, followed by advanced fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at the Cohen Eye Institute, where he achieved high-level proficiency in complex anterior segment procedures. In private practice, Dr. Betesh delivers comprehensive ophthalmic care, including cataract surgery, glaucoma management, corneal procedures, and refractive surgery such as LASIK, PRK and EVO ICL. His approach emphasizes personalized treatment plans that integrate clinical excellence with patient education and comfort. He remains attentive to advancements in ophthalmic technology, recognizing the role of innovation, surgical video review, and collaborative learning in improving outcomes.
