Yoslayda Garcia, RN, CPHT

Yoslayda Garcia, RN, CPhT, is a registered nurse with a diverse international background spanning more than 20 years in the healthcare field. She currently practices as a Registered Nurse with BayCare Health System in the Greater Tampa Bay area, where she provides direct patient care in a primary care and cardiology-focused setting, primarily serving geriatric populations.

Yoslayda began her healthcare career in Cuba, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and went on to practice as a pharmacist for 11 years in Spain. After relocating to the United States, she continued her clinical journey as a Certified Pharmacy Technician and surgical assistant before pursuing nursing. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Keiser University in August 2024 and has since begun advancing her education in a BSN program at West Coast University.

Her clinical experience includes cardiology-focused care, medication management, preventive screenings, chronic disease monitoring, and care coordination across outpatient clinics, hospital settings, and home health visits. She completed her RN residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa, further strengthening her foundation in acute and primary care nursing.

Yoslayda’s professional background is distinguished by her multilingual abilities (English and Spanish), interdisciplinary expertise in pharmacy and nursing, and long-standing commitment to underserved and diverse patient populations. She is an active member of professional pharmacy organizations and holds certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), along with additional training in billing and reimbursement.

Her long-term goal is to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on mental health advocacy and expanding access to care for vulnerable populations. Her career path reflects a deep and consistent dedication to service, shaped by both her international clinical experience and personal commitment to helping others.
