Widnide Agenor is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse based in Hollywood, Florida, with over 14 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Widnide originally began her journey wanting to be a teacher, but after witnessing the challenges teachers face, she decided to pursue her other passion medicine. She started as a Medical Assistant, working in a doctor’s office for five years while attending school full-time to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Despite the demanding schedule, she remained determined and committed to her goal. Widnide worked as an LPN for 15 years, gaining extensive experience across hospital, hospice, and long-term care settings, all while managing family responsibilities.
Currently, Widnide serves as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Broward County Public Schools, where she has been a school nurse for four years. In this role, she provides comprehensive healthcare support to students, including emergency response, medication administration, health assessments, and confidential record maintenance. Widnide excels at building one-on-one relationships with her patients, earning their trust and fostering care that feels personal and familial. She takes pride in treating students like family, often becoming the nurse they rely on most, and forming lasting connections that extend beyond routine care.
Widnide recently achieved a lifelong goal by graduating as a Registered Nurse from Jersey College and passing her boards, marking a major milestone in her career. She is now pursuing her Bachelor’s degree with only 11 classes remaining thanks to prior credits and ultimately aims to complete her Master’s degree. Widnide’s career reflects a deep dedication to professional growth, lifelong learning, and patient-centered care. What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about nursing is building the one-on-one relationship with my patients and being able to see how confident they are in me. Some patients, if I'm not there, they won't go to another nurse for whatever they need - they'll wait for me to come back, even if it's 3-4 days later. I love to see how much my patients really confide in me and really trust me with their care. Even when other nurses are available and patients need medicine or something, they'll say 'nope, we want you to do it, because we know it'll get done.' That trust and those relationships mean everything to me. I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree and only have 11 classes left, and my ultimate goal is to complete my Master's degree.
