Wanda Collado, BSN, RN

Wanda Collado is a New York State Registered Nurse dedicated to delivering safe, organized, and compassionate patient-centered care throughout New York City. A graduate of University of Mount Saint Vincent, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Wanda recently began her role as a UAS Field Assessment RN with Healthfirst. In this position, she conducts comprehensive home-based assessments, evaluates patient needs, and supports care coordination for vulnerable and underserved populations. Navigating Manhattan and surrounding boroughs by foot and public transportation, she meets patients where they are—ensuring continuity of care and improved access to essential health services.

Wanda’s healthcare journey began long before earning her RN credentials. She worked her way up through roles including Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, and Phlebotomist. This extensive frontline experience strengthened her clinical confidence and technical proficiency, making the transition to professional nursing seamless. Her clinical background spans med-surg, geriatrics, psychiatry, pediatrics, maternity, ambulatory care, and home-based settings. She is BLS and CPR certified, proficient in Epic electronic health records, and bilingual in English and Spanish—allowing her to deliver culturally responsive care and enhance patient understanding and adherence.

With a strong interest in care coordination, transitional care, and managed care models, Wanda is passionate about improving health outcomes through communication, advocacy, and early risk identification. She believes that high-quality nursing balances clinical precision with genuine human connection. Her career reflects resilience, upward mobility, and a deep commitment to serving diverse communities with empathy and professionalism.
