Varsha Rao, PT, MSPT, Cert DN
Varsha Rao, PT, MSPT, Cert DN is a dedicated and compassionate physical therapist based in Reno/Sun Valley, Nevada. She currently serves as the lead physical therapist at Healing Hands Physical Therapy and Body Work, a concierge, cash-based practice owned by Dr. Jamie Pribble. In her role, Varsha provides hour-long, hands-on visits focused on restoring function, improving quality of life, and delivering patient-centered care without the limitations imposed by insurance-driven protocols.
Varsha specializes in pelvic-floor therapy, dry needling, and advanced manual therapy techniques, with an integrative perspective on nutrition related to pelvic-floor health. Her practice philosophy emphasizes personalized care, holistic problem-solving, and hands-on treatment, helping patients regain mobility, function, and independence. She places high value on humility, lifelong learning, and collaborative mentorship in her work.
Originally from Mumbai, India, Varsha completed her undergraduate training at MGM University / MGM Hospital, where she gained early clinical experience, including internships and work in rehabilitation facilities. She relocated to the United States in 2015 to pursue graduate training and earned her Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. This educational foundation, combined with her international clinical experience, gives her a unique perspective on patient care and rehabilitation.
Varsha has practiced as a physical therapist for over seven years in the United States, with additional experience in India, totaling nearly ten years in the field. Before joining Healing Hands, she worked in multiple rehabilitation and outpatient clinics, including Performance Physical Therapy, Reliant Rehabilitation, and Assisted Rehab, Inc. In every setting, she has demonstrated skill in manual therapy, myofascial release, and dry needling, consistently focused on achieving the best outcomes for her patients.
Her success is attributed to a combination of curiosity, persistence, and mentorship, particularly guidance from clinic owner Dr. Jamie Pribble. Varsha approaches each case like a puzzle, applying critical thinking and evidence-based strategies to develop individualized treatment plans. She identifies concierge and cash-based physical therapy models as an opportunity to provide high-quality, hands-on care without the constraints of insurance limitations.
Outside of work, Varsha enjoys exploring new techniques and continuing education in her field while maintaining a patient-first approach. Her commitment to professional growth, collaborative practice, and holistic patient care has earned her recognition, including selection for inclusion in America’s Best in Medicine, representing Reno, Nevada in 2026. Her dedication reflects a career-long focus on improving patients’ functional abilities, wellness, and overall quality of life.
