Vanessa Auguillard, ThD, MA, BSN, RN, CHN

Vanessa Aguiard is a highly experienced renal dialysis educator and nurse with over 35 years in the field and 15 years dedicated to teaching. She specializes in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, recently taking on the exciting role of training nurses nationwide on a new hemodialysis machine being introduced in the United States. Vanessa’s work spans multiple Houston-area hospitals, including Herman Memorial, Methodist, Harris Health, MD Anderson, and St. Luke’s, where she has provided expert care and guidance to adult patients while mentoring nursing staff.

Vanessa earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Women’s University and has advanced her studies with a Master’s in Religious Education and a Doctorate in Theology. She is also a Certified Hemodialysis Nurse, combining clinical expertise with a strong commitment to patient education. Her professional approach emphasizes not only technical knowledge but also empathy and understanding, ensuring that every patient receives individualized care and support.

Driven by a lifelong passion for helping others, Vanessa attributes her success to her deep desire to assist patients and her dedication to continuous learning. Inspired by her mother and growing up as a preacher’s kid, she blends her faith and professional experience to serve both her patients and her community. Looking ahead, Vanessa plans to establish a peritoneal dialysis school for nurses and patients, expanding access to this important treatment and empowering the next generation of dialysis professionals.
