Tyler Martin
Tyler Martin (He/Him), also known professionally as Dr. Tyler C. Martin, is a strategic executive, entrepreneur, and interdisciplinary leader specializing in enterprise transformation, growth strategy, and organizational turnaround across healthcare, technology, and media sectors. He is the founder and owner of Martin Mobile Therapy (MM Therapy LLC), a mobile outpatient physical therapy practice based in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. Based in the Denver Metropolitan Area, he also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Goodpain Co., where he explores the intersection of corporate strategy, leadership, and human-centered dialogue, and is Managing Director of Acrasy Advisors, a boutique advisory and executive coaching firm focused on scalable operating models, M&A strategy, and performance optimization. Across his executive career, he has led large-scale transformation initiatives within organizations such as Optum, Healthgrades, and Trellus Health, delivering measurable improvements in revenue growth, operational efficiency, and market expansion.
In addition to his executive leadership, Dr. Martin has been a licensed physical therapist since May 2019, dedicating his clinical practice exclusively to outpatient physical therapy throughout Hampton Roads, including Newport News, Hampton, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, and Portsmouth. After working in multiple clinical environments, including Riverside Outpatient, he launched MM Therapy LLC in July 2023, operating under the Martin Mobile Therapy brand. Following the unexpected closure of his previous clinic, he transitioned fully into independent practice by March 2024—an experience he describes as being “pushed out of the nest.” His mobile model was developed to address critical access barriers for patients who face challenges with transportation, mobility limitations, or family obligations, delivering high-quality rehabilitative care directly in community and home-based settings.
Dr. Martin’s professional foundation blends clinical expertise with entrepreneurship and systems-level business development. He has operated an online marketing business since his time in physical therapy school, which helped build the commercial acumen necessary to launch and scale his independent practice. He is certified in performance taping (PMT) and laser treatment therapy and maintains active membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Looking ahead, he envisions expanding Martin Mobile Therapy (MM Therapy LLC) across Virginia by contracting therapists in multiple regions, building a scalable mobile care network that increases access to rehabilitative services. His career reflects an integrated philosophy of combining strategic enterprise leadership with hands-on clinical care to improve systems, expand access, and create sustainable, patient-centered impact.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I really want to make an impact by helping people who struggle to access traditional physical therapy clinics. There's a huge demographic of people - whether they're active adults or homebound, bedbound patients - who find getting to a physical clinic just tough, whether it's transportation, family issues, or whatever the case may be. Being able to intervene on the rehab side and provide care directly to these patients is what really drives me. I saw different friends go through their rehab journeys growing up, and I had family members, especially my mom, go through spinal fusion and different hip procedures, and just getting exposed to what life was like on the rehab side made me want to be part of that healing process.
