Trina Perras-Bird, MSN, FNP-C
Trina Perras-Bird, MSN, FNP-C, is a dedicated healthcare professional with more than 12 years of experience serving patients at Uintah Basin Medical Center in Roosevelt, Utah. She began her career there as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the obstetrics department while pursuing her nursing education, steadily advancing through the profession to become a Registered Nurse. Over the years, Trina has developed broad clinical expertise, including nine years in obstetrics where she cared for mothers and newborns in a 12-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit and a Level II Special Care Nursery. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she also supported medical-surgical units to help address critical staffing shortages.
For the past several years, Trina has worked in the emergency department, where she specializes in rapid triage, trauma response, and critical patient stabilization. Her strong obstetrical background also led her to become a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), a specialized role focused on providing compassionate care and forensic support for survivors of sexual assault. Known for her ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, she combines clinical skill with trauma-informed care to support patients during some of their most vulnerable moments.
Trina earned both her Associate and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Weber State University, graduating summa cum laude with her bachelor’s degree, and recently completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Southern Utah University. She holds several advanced certifications, including PALS, ACLS, NRP, ENPC, and TNCC, and is preparing to sit for her Family Nurse Practitioner board certification. A French-Canadian immigrant who moved to the United States with her husband, Trina credits her family’s support and the opportunities she found in her community for helping shape her career. Upon certification, she plans to begin practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, continuing her commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care.
