Treyc J. Terry, M.D. is the Assistant Medical Director of Transfusion and Apheresis Services at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. A native of Alexandria, Louisiana, Dr. Terry earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana, followed by his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2020. He completed a clinical pathology residency in 2023 and a fellowship in blood banking/transfusion medicine in 2024 at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Throughout his training, Dr. Terry has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing transfusion medicine and improving patient outcomes. His clinical and research interests include critical thromboelastography (TEG) monitoring, whole blood usage in trauma settings, and transfusion safety protocols. He has presented at national conferences and received multiple recognitions, including the Future of Pathology Award from the National Medical Association and Best Poster Presentation from the Blood Bank Association of New York State.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Terry is passionate about mentorship, advocacy, and diversity in medicine. He has served as a student representative on the President’s Commission for Diversity & Inclusion at URSMD and held leadership roles within the Student National Medical Association. With a growing body of research and a strong foundation in both patient care and laboratory science, Dr. Terry continues to be a rising leader in the field of pathology and transfusion medicine.

Dr. Treyc Terry is the author of two peer-reviewed publications. His first, titled “Evaluation of a Newly Implemented Critical Thromboelastography (TEG) Value Callback System: A Single Center Experience,” was published in the American Journal of Clinical Pathology and explores the impact of a new TEG callback system on clinical workflows and patient care. His second publication, “Publication Rate of Podium Presentations from the Orthopaedic Research Society Annual Meeting,” analyzes trends in research dissemination within the orthopedic community. These contributions reflect Dr. Terry’s commitment to evidence-based practice and advancing knowledge across both pathology and broader clinical research.
