Tonya H. Straughn, LPN

Originally from Quincy, Massachusetts, Tonya Straughn (she/her) is a Licensed Practical Nurse with more than 13 years of experience in the healthcare field. She is currently based in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she serves at LECOM Health – Millcreek, specializing in geriatrics and ostomy care.

Tonya began her nursing journey after earning her Diploma in Practical Nursing from Tri-State Business Institute in 2011. Over the years, she has built a reputation for her compassion, precision, and patient-centered approach to care. After several years at St. Mary’s, she transitioned from long-term care to independent living, finding fulfillment in supporting older adults with dignity, respect, and individualized attention.

At LECOM Health, Tonya is known for her clinical expertise, strong teamwork, and commitment to continuous learning. She is CPR-certified and currently furthering her education through Achieve Test Prep to complete her college coursework before pursuing her BSN at Nightingale College in New York.
