Todd C. Ryan
Dr. Todd C. Ryan is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Edison Metuchen Orthopaedic Group (EMOG) in Edison, New Jersey. With more than 25 years of experience, he specializes in diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Dr. Ryan is committed to helping patients restore function and return to their active lifestyles, combining advanced surgical techniques with the principles of osteopathic medicine for comprehensive, patient-centered care. Dr. Ryan earned his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of NYIT. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Peninsula Hospital Center in Queens, New York, which included a rotating osteopathic internship year and a year of general surgery training. He further enhanced his expertise through a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute, specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related injuries. He is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (AOBOS) and has built a reputation for educating patients on their treatment options, ensuring they are active participants in their recovery. His areas of expertise include orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine, musculoskeletal injuries, and functional restoration. Dr. Ryan is also affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health JFK University Medical Center, where he collaborates with the hospital’s staff to provide advanced orthopaedic care. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Ryan serves as Team Physician for St. Thomas Aquinas High School (formerly Bishop Ahr), supporting student-athletes for over 15 years. He enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and reading, reflecting his passion for an active and balanced lifestyle.
