Tina Mitchell is a dedicated Recreation Therapist currently practicing with the Manassas Comprehensive Treatment Center, where she supports individuals on their journey toward recovery and improved quality of life. Drawing on her strong clinical foundation and compassionate approach, she designs therapeutic activities that promote emotional well-being, social connection, and personal growth. Tina is committed to creating safe, supportive environments that empower clients to build resilience and regain independence.
Before her current role, Tina served as a Recreation Therapist at The Washington Home and Hospices, where she spent nearly three years providing therapeutic support to patients in hospice and long-term care. During this time, she developed and facilitated programs tailored to the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of diverse patient populations. Her experience in both hospice and behavioral health settings has shaped her holistic, person-centered therapeutic style, emphasizing dignity, purpose, and meaningful engagement.
Tina’s academic background includes studies in Psychology at the University of Phoenix and Therapeutic Recreation at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, giving her a strong interdisciplinary foundation for her clinical work. She also brings experience from ServiceSource, where she served as a Recreation Therapist supporting individuals with disabilities.
