Timothy Hayes, MAM, MA, LPC

Timothy Hayes, MAM, MA, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Christian Counselor based in the Lubbock-Levelland area of Texas. With a heart for helping individuals, couples, and families find healing and restoration, Tim founded his own counseling practice, Tim Hayes, LPC, in 2019. He provides faith-based therapy for clients facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, infidelity, and addiction. His approach centers on guiding people toward harmony, hope, and transformation through a Christ-centered perspective. Tim is particularly passionate about helping men overcome cultural challenges that conflict with God’s design for healthy marriages and family life.

Before establishing his private practice, Tim gained extensive experience as a therapist at The Counseling Center at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) and Shiloh Counseling, where he provided compassionate support for those navigating personal and relational struggles. Earlier in his career, he served for nearly two decades at TTUHSC as Senior Director of Leadership Initiatives, leading major projects that supported the university’s educational and clinical missions. His leadership included directing reaccreditation efforts, organizing strategic planning conferences, managing patient satisfaction initiatives, and even producing the inaugural TEDxTexasTechUniversity event in 2014.

Tim holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Master of Arts in Management with a specialization in Psychology from Wayland Baptist University. A dedicated member of the American Association of Christian Counselors since 2011, he integrates professional expertise with deep spiritual insight. Guided by his faith and the belief that “the greater the struggle, the more glorious the triumph,” Tim continues to walk alongside those seeking renewal, helping them rediscover peace, purpose, and strength in their lives.
