Tiffany Pullins, MSN, FNP-C
I’m Tiffany Pullins, a wife, mom of three boys, and lifelong Black Hills resident. My journey into healthcare hasn’t been traditional, but it has been deeply shaped by perseverance, faith, and family. As a teenager, I left high school and didn’t earn my GED until I was 27. At 30, as a single mom, I made the decision to start nursing school — not because it was easy, but because it mattered. Halfway through my nursing prerequisites, I met my husband, and together we built our family, welcoming two more boys along the way. He is a retired Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force and has been employed at Custer Hospital for the past 15 years. A powerful source of motivation during this time was my grandmother, whom I cared for before she passed away. She believed deeply that I was meant to be a nurse, and her encouragement changed the direction of my life.
I began my healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant on the oncology floor, where I spent seven years providing hands-on patient care. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012, I continued in oncology as a registered nurse for two years. I then transitioned into postpartum nursing, where I spent nine and a half years supporting women and families during some of the most meaningful and vulnerable moments of their lives. I later expanded my experience by working in surgical and recovery settings at a pediatric dental surgery office, broadening my clinical skill set across diverse patient populations.
Later in my career, I opened and operated an IV hydration and medical aesthetics practice for three years, gaining valuable experience in patient education, clinical protocols, safety-focused care delivery, and leadership. At 42, I took another leap and began nurse practitioner school, continuing to prove to myself — and to my children — that it’s never too late to grow, learn, and pursue your purpose.
I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from South University in November 2025, specializing in family health. I will begin practicing at Southern Hills Family Medicine and look forward to caring for patients across the lifespan. I believe deeply in listening, education, and treating people with compassion and respect, and I am honored to care for the community that has always been home.
