Thiago Kugelmas

Thiago Kugelmas is a Professional Counseling Intern at Works Counseling Center and a Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Rollins College and ongoing graduate training, Thiago brings a strong academic foundation and a passion for supporting individuals in achieving their most authentic and fulfilling lives. He is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and understood.

Thiago’s experience spans clinical mental health counseling, trauma-informed care, and supporting spiritual wellness. Previously, he served as a Graduate Assistant at Belmont University Ministries and as an Issue Analyst and Page Manager for the United Nations Association of Orlando. These roles strengthened his skills in cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and advocacy, which he now applies in therapeutic settings to help clients navigate challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and marginalization.

Outside of work, Thiago enjoys a variety of activities that nourish his personal and professional growth. He loves spending time with friends and family, exploring nature, traveling, attending concerts, and engaging in creative pursuits like playing the piano and singing. Thiago’s holistic approach to counseling is shaped by his dedication to understanding each client’s unique background, needs, and goals, ensuring that every individual receives personalized care that promotes healing, growth, and well-being.
