Terri L. Cogbill, RN
With a nursing career spanning more than four decades, her dedication to healthcare began long before she earned her degree. Inspired by her mother, a surgical nurse, she grew up immersed in the medical world—sometimes even accompanying her to the hospital and donning green sterile gowns as a child. By age 14, she was volunteering as a candy striper, and at 16, she and her sister worked as nurse’s aides to fund a trip to Europe. In 1980, she completed her Associate Degree in Nursing at Antelope Valley College, launching a lifelong career defined by versatility, compassion, and a willingness to evolve with the times.
Over the years, she has worked in nearly every area of nursing imaginable, including pediatrics, surgery, pre-operative and post-operative care, recovery, emergency medicine, and home health. She spent significant time at St. John’s Hospital, where she ran the blood transfusion department in collaboration with the John Wayne Cancer Institute and worked alongside Dr. Donald Morton, the pioneer of the sentinel lymph node biopsy procedure. Her broad clinical experience reflects both depth and adaptability, allowing her to serve patients across a wide range of medical needs with skill and confidence.
In 2017, she transitioned into alternative and integrative medicine, specializing in IV ozone therapy using the 10-Pass method enhanced with polychromatic light exposure. Utilizing the Zotzmann Stahl machine from Germany, she treated patients facing complex conditions such as COVID, cancer, and Lyme disease, and trained several nurses in this advanced technique. Today, she practices frequency medicine using the Healy device, embracing innovative energetic approaches to wellness. Beyond her clinical work, she channels her healing philosophy into creativity through Fernwood Fairies Studio in Topanga, where she crafts plant-based paints from her garden and the natural surroundings of Topanga Canyon—beautifully blending art, nature, and holistic healing into a singular expression of care.
