Teresa Jones, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC
Teresa Jones, CPNP-AC, is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care specializing in pediatric hematology and oncology across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. She currently practices at PM Pediatrics and has been affiliated with leading pediatric institutions in Dallas, including UT Southwestern Medical Center and Medical City Children’s Hospital. With more than 26 years in healthcare—12 as a registered nurse and over 14 as a nurse practitioner—Teresa brings deep clinical expertise and a passion for pediatric care. Her work has spanned inpatient bone marrow transplant, outpatient oncology, and most recently hemostasis and thrombosis, where she cares for children with complex bleeding and clotting disorders.
Teresa earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seton Hall University in 1997 and went on to complete her Master of Science as a Nurse Practitioner at University of Pennsylvania in 2009. Her commitment to pediatric hematology-oncology is both professional and personal—having been diagnosed with leukemia at age 16, she was inspired by her own nurse practitioner to pursue a career in advanced practice nursing. Over the years, she has presented at national and international conferences on topics including von Willebrand disease, hemophilia, and bone marrow transplantation, and has been published in the Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine. She is widely respected for her ability to break down complex medical information and communicate it effectively to audiences ranging from young children to medical professionals.
In addition to her clinical work, Teresa is a dedicated educator and mentor. She has taught nurses and residents during hospital rounds, delivered university lectures, and presented at grand rounds and major medical conferences, including the Scott Storm Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Nursing Seminar. Her experience also includes surgical clinical review and infusion nursing for immunocompromised patients. As she transitions into a greater focus on teaching, Teresa remains committed to maintaining her clinical practice on a PRN basis, ensuring she stays connected to patient care while shaping the next generation of pediatric healthcare providers. For Teresa, medicine has never been just a career—it is a lifelong calling grounded in compassion, resilience, and service.
