Tenneka Criddell, MSOM
Tenneka Criddell, MSOM is a licensed acupuncturist in Georgia and Illinois and a nationally certified Diplomate of Acupuncture through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). A proud Chicago native, she brings a compassionate and integrative approach to healing that blends the time-honored principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern psychological insight. Tenneka earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, along with a Master’s degree in Psychology. Her multidisciplinary education enables her to support patients physically, emotionally, and energetically while helping them achieve long-term balance and wellness.
Before entering the field of holistic medicine, Tenneka spent nearly two decades working as an accountant, where she developed a strong business foundation and analytical mindset. Her career path shifted after a friend invited her to attend a Reiki class, an experience that profoundly changed her perspective on healing and inspired her to pursue acupuncture and energy medicine. Since beginning her acupuncture practice in 2023, she has focused on supporting patients with mental health challenges, pain management, and fertility concerns, serving individuals throughout the Atlanta area. She currently practices at a clinic with locations in Alpharetta and is preparing to launch her own private practice, Pinpoint with Tenneka, in the coming months.
What sets Tenneka apart is her deeply patient-centered philosophy. She believes in taking the time to truly understand each patient as an individual, ensuring appointments are never rushed and that every question is thoughtfully addressed, especially for those new to acupuncture. As a Master Reiki Practitioner, she integrates acupuncture, energy healing, and mental health awareness to treat the root causes of imbalance rather than simply managing symptoms. Her ultimate goal is to help patients restore harmony and resilience in their lives, empowering them to reach a place where they no longer need regular treatment while continuing to expand her expertise and impact through holistic healing. ✨

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most is meeting a whole lot of people, a variety of people from all walks of life. But honestly, my favorite part is being able to get patients to the point where they really don't have to come in anymore. I know that's the sad part because I build these relationships with them, but the goal is to get to the point where they don't have to come in. That's what it's really about for me - helping people heal so they can move forward on their own.
