Taylor Caramore is a board-certified Nurse Coach and nurse entrepreneur with over 13 years of nursing experience spanning critical care, oncology, education, leadership, and coaching. Since beginning her nursing career in 2013, she has built a diverse clinical and academic background that integrates evidence-based practice with a holistic, relationship-centered approach to health and wellness. Her work reflects a deep commitment to supporting individuals navigating complex health and life challenges.

She is the founder of Caramore Coaching, a nurse-led coaching practice designed to support nurses experiencing burnout, career transitions, and work-life imbalance, as well as adolescents living with chronic health conditions. Through her practice, she provides personalized coaching both virtually and in person, helping clients gain clarity, build resilience, and develop sustainable strategies for well-being. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes reflection, self-awareness, and practical tools for meaningful change.

Clinically, Taylor holds nursing licenses in both New York and Virginia and has extensive experience across high-acuity and specialized settings, including neurosurgical critical care, oncology nursing, cardiac surgery step-down units, school nursing, and nurse management. She has also served as a nurse coordinator for head and neck cancer patients and held leadership roles overseeing critical care and medical-surgical teams. In addition, she has contributed to nursing education as an adjunct faculty member at Binghamton University, teaching in RN-to-BSN programs with a focus on leadership and population health.

Academically, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Binghamton University and her Master of Science in Nursing in Nurse Leadership and Management from George Washington University, completing her graduate studies while balancing family responsibilities. Her educational background supports her ability to bridge clinical expertise with leadership development, education, and coaching practice. She also brings insight from her experience in healthcare systems and academic institutions to her entrepreneurial work.

Beyond her clinical and professional roles, Taylor is passionate about advancing holistic health perspectives that recognize the connection between lifestyle, behavior, and long-term outcomes. She is involved in advocacy and community support initiatives, including contributions to StacheStrong, an organization supporting individuals and families affected by brain cancer. Through her coaching, teaching, and advocacy, she continues to empower healthcare professionals and young people to navigate health challenges with resilience, clarity, and purpose.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I truly enjoy most about nursing is the opportunity to work one-on-one with individuals and build meaningful, trusting relationships. I value the ability to connect deeply with patients, families, and small teams, which is what initially drew me into nursing leadership and management. I have genuinely loved every stage of my nursing career—whether in critical care, oncology, education, or management—because each role has allowed me to grow while making a meaningful impact on others.

Over time, I have found that what fulfills me most is helping people understand the connection between their health and every other part of their lives. I am especially passionate about the holistic nature of care—the way behavior, lifestyle, emotional well-being, and physical health are all interconnected. That perspective is what continues to make nursing deeply meaningful to me.
