Tanisha Silva, NP

Tanisha Silva is a dedicated Registered Nurse with nearly a decade of clinical experience at Indiana University Health, where she serves in the Intensive Care Unit in the Greater Indianapolis area. Her background reflects a strong foundation in acute patient care, critical thinking, and clinical excellence. Earlier in her healthcare career, she gained valuable experience as a Medical Assistant in both oncology and clinical settings, supporting physicians, administering medications, performing diagnostic tasks, and ensuring accurate patient records—experiences that shaped her patient-centered approach to care.

In parallel with her civilian healthcare career, Tanisha has proudly served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve for over 24 years. Her military career includes leadership roles such as Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) and her current position as a Family Readiness Technician, where she supports service members and their families through coordination, management, and readiness initiatives. Her long-standing military service reflects a deep commitment to leadership, discipline, and service, and has strengthened her ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, mission-driven environments.

Tanisha holds both an Associate of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, earned through Ivy Tech Community College and the University of Indianapolis, respectively. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and brings a diverse skill set that includes critical care, emergency response, and patient advocacy.
