Tamara Floyd, MD
Dr. Tamara Floyd, MD is a highly skilled General and Hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) surgeon and PSM/HIPEC surgical oncologist, with specialized expertise in complex liver, pancreas, and biliary tract surgery. She is board-certified in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery (2021) and has completed extensive training in both general and advanced oncologic surgery.
Dr. Floyd earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College at Rush University in 2014. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2016, followed by a fellowship in Hepatopancreaticobiliary and Foregut Surgery at Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus in 2019. She further honed her skills in advanced surgical oncology through a PSM/HIPEC fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital, completed in 2023. Throughout her career, she has served in clinical roles at Allegheny Health Network, IU BMP, and Ascension Providence Hospital, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex surgical and oncologic needs.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Floyd enjoys practicing yoga and Pilates to maintain balance and wellness. She also loves baking, which allows her to express creativity and unwind. Her dedication to surgical excellence, combined with her compassionate patient care, reflects her commitment to improving outcomes for those facing complex surgical conditions.
