Sylvia Wolsky, NP
Sylvia Wolsky, MSN, FNP-C, is a dedicated nurse practitioner, entrepreneur, and healthcare leader specializing in pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, functional medicine, and hormone health. Based in Anderson, South Carolina, she is the founder and CEO of Electric City Wellness, where she focuses on delivering a patient-centered experience that prioritizes individualized care and whole-person wellness. Wolsky earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at South University. Throughout her career, she has worked across multiple clinical settings, including pulmonary and sleep medicine practices, pain and weight management clinics, and large-scale public health initiatives.
Wolsky’s path into healthcare was inspired by a deeply personal loss. After her grandfather passed away following a brain aneurysm that she felt could have been better addressed through earlier testing and care, she committed herself to pursuing a career in nursing. As a single mother while attending nursing school, she worked 12-hour weekend shifts while balancing family and academic responsibilities, demonstrating the determination that would later define her professional success. She began her career in trauma nursing at the University of Florida and quickly stepped into leadership roles, including serving as a nursing supervisor. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she served as a lead provider for CVS Health, overseeing operations across 107 testing clinics throughout South Carolina, further expanding her experience in large-scale healthcare delivery.
Today, through Electric City Wellness, Wolsky focuses on functional and preventative medicine, including bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), women’s health, men’s health, and medically guided weight loss. Her holistic approach to treatment emphasizes addressing the root causes of illness while empowering patients to achieve long-term wellness. Her impact in the community has been significant, with many patients experiencing transformative health outcomes, including substantial weight loss and improved quality of life. Recognized with the Hometown Award for her work in women’s health and weight management, Wolsky continues to advocate for accessible healthcare, particularly preventative services for underserved women in South Carolina and Georgia. Inspired by the loss of a close friend to cervical cancer, she plans to expand her services to increase access to early screenings and preventative care, further strengthening her mission to improve health outcomes in her community.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the opportunity to help people while building meaningful relationships within the community. Providing care allows me to support patients through their health journeys, improve their quality of life, and foster trust with the individuals and families I serve. Establishing strong community connections is equally important to me, as it creates a supportive environment where patients feel valued, understood, and empowered in their healthcare decisions.
