Susan J. Kamstra, RN, BS
Susan Kamstra is a dedicated Registered Nurse with over 30 years of healthcare experience in diverse healthcare settings, including cardiac care, oncology, emergency medicine, and patient-centered care. She brings extensive expertise in cardiac assessment, aftercare, case management, and long-term care, complemented by more than 30 years of EKG experience and 19 years as an Emergency Medical Technician. Throughout her career, Susan has demonstrated a strong ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients from varied backgrounds, including educational, crisis, and clinical environments. Currently, Susan serves as a Registered Nurse at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, where she applies her broad clinical knowledge to support long-term care patients. Prior to her nursing career, she taught high school for four years and has spent eight years teaching for the Red Cross, sharing her expertise in health, safety, and emergency response. She also founded a program at MetroTech Career Academy that provides high school students with the opportunity to graduate with Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and First Responder certifications, demonstrating her commitment to education and workforce development. A lifelong learner, Susan holds a B.S. in Health Education from North Dakota State University, an A.S. in Law Enforcement from North Hennepin Community College, and an Associate of Science in Registered Nursing from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, where she graduated with honors in 2024. Her professional journey reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence, education, and compassionate care in both healthcare and community service.

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is helping people achieve their best health. I find it deeply rewarding to support patients in making informed decisions, improving their well-being, and navigating their healthcare journey with confidence and compassion.
