Stanley Laforest, CRNA, DNP
Stanley Laforest, CRNA, DNP, is a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist currently practicing at Mass General Brigham. With a strong foundation in critical care and perioperative nursing, Stanley brings a wealth of clinical expertise and dedication to patient safety and anesthesia care. His professional journey reflects a commitment to excellence and continuous growth in the nursing and healthcare field.
Stanley began his nursing career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, quickly advancing to Registered Nurse roles at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Duke University Hospital, and NYU Langone Health. During this time, he gained extensive experience in critical care and surgical intensive care units, developing the skills and clinical judgment that would later guide his practice as a nurse anesthetist. His hands-on experience across diverse healthcare settings has been instrumental in shaping his approach to patient-centered care.
Stanley earned his Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis College, where he graduated from the Honors Program as an Erat Scholar and Dean’s List recipient. His education, combined with his practical experience, has allowed him to excel in delivering anesthesia care with precision, compassion, and professionalism. Looking ahead, Stanley hopes to further his education and pursue research opportunities within the next five years. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active through working out, hiking, and running, as well as spending quality time with his family.
